Botox® and Dysport™ in Phoenix and Scottsdale Arizona
Botox® and Dysport™ are brand names of the aesthetic version of botulinum toxin, a product very popular non-surgical treatment that relaxes the muscles that cause facial lines and wrinkles. Facial lines that can be treated include the vertical lines between the eyebrows and horizontal lines just above the nose, lines across the forehead, and wrinkles next to the eyes ("crow's feet"). Thick neck bands can at times be improved. These lines and creases are then softened or can even temporarily completely disappear.
Botox® or Dysport™ work by blocking the signal from the nerves to the muscles where they are injected, temporarily relaxing the wrinkle-causing muscles. This improvement in wrinkling gives the face a much more youthful appearance.
The relaxing effect of these toxins lasts about 6 months.
Botox® injections have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for cosmetic use since April 2002. It has been approved for the treatment of several medical conditions since 1989. The FDA considers a Botox® or Dysport® injection a medical procedure that should be performed in a controlled medical environment.
Whether you are in Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley or any other city in the greater Phoenix area, the offices of Dr. Weinrach are conveniently located for nonsurgical procedures such as Botox® or Dysport® injections, as well as Restylane®, Perlane®, and Juvederm® injections.
