Laser Hair Removal in Phoenix and Scottsdale Arizona
Laser Hair Removal is a safe, non-invasive, long-term solution to unwanted hair on all body parts. Laser hair removal works by selectively heating melanin, the pigment in the hair follicle, which is the growth center of the hair. When the melanin absorbs the light energy from the laser, is is heated, causing injury to the hair follicle. This injury to the follicle prevents further hair growth. As the laser in general targets actively growing hairs, and hairs are not all in the active growth phase at the same time, it generally takes several treatments in order to inhibit the majority of hair in a single area. Because the laser targets melanin, a dark pigment, laser hair removal works best on dark hair present on light skin. Dark hair on dark skin can be treated as well, however lower energy settings are used, and therefore more treatments are typically needed. Laser Hair removal is not effective for blonde or red hair.
