Which “Daddy Do-Over” Procedures Can Be Done Simultaneously?

The “daddy do-over,” like the mommy makeover, is a personalized treatment plan that restores a lean, youthful and masculine look to the face and body. The daddy do-over is becoming increasingly popular, as the processes of aging and the stresses of parenthood affect the appearances of both men and women. Daddy do-overs can include multiple surgical and non-surgical procedures, often performed in stages. Wherever possible, Dr. Jonathan Weinrach combines compatible procedures to reduce the total cost and recovery time associated with having a daddy do-over.

If you are considering having a daddy do-over, knowing which procedures can be performed simultaneously will give you an idea of what to expect during and after surgery. You can also contact our clinic in Scottsdale at (480) 634-6014 to learn more about male plastic surgery.

Which Daddy Do-Over Procedures Can be Combined?

Liposuction and Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) Surgery

Not all men who want to sculpt a flat stomach require tummy tuck surgery, but if you have been overweight in the past, you may need both a tummy tuck and liposuction to restore your lean midriff. While liposuction works to remove targeted pockets of fat, an abdominoplasty can address other issues such as excess or loose skin and the underlying muscles of the abdominal wall. When you visit Dr. Weinrach for a consultation, he will let you know whether you could most benefit from a tummy tuck, liposuction, or both procedures together.

Liposuction is typically performed alongside abdominoplasty to simultaneously remove stubborn belly fat and loose skin, which can be leftover after substantial weight loss. Men having a daddy do-over can also choose to have liposuction performed on their back or chest to improve muscle definition or treat gynecomastia (male breast enlargement).

Botox®, Dermal Fillers, and The Liquid Facelift

Botox® has become so popular with men in recent years, both doctors and patients have given it the nickname, “Brotox.” It’s about time men accessed the same rejuvenation solutions women have been enjoying!

Botox® is used to treat dynamic upper facial wrinkles, like frown lines between the eyebrows, while dermal fillers eliminate static wrinkles around the mouth and cheeks. Dermal fillers can also gently lift and contour your face by adding volume to your cheeks, chin, jawline, or nose, as desired.

Botox® and dermal fillers have different but complementary mechanisms of action: Botox® temporarily relaxes certain muscles so they can not cause creases, whereas dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid gel to smooth, plump, and hydrate the skin. Having dermal fillers and Botox® administered during the same appointment is safe and convenient (the whole process takes about 20 minutes), so we usually recommend combining both treatments to erase years from your face.

The use of dermal fillers and neuromodulators together has been named, “the liquid facelift.” While those with very advanced facial aging tend to get the best results with a surgical facelift, the liquid facelift does a great job for patients with mild to moderate signs of aging. The liquid facelift is one of the most popular procedures in our office.

Eyelid and Brow Lift Surgery

Eyelid lift and brow lift surgeries are incredibly effective approaches to achieve long-lasting forehead wrinkle reduction, lift sagging brows and eyelids, or remove puffy under-eye bags. Performing just an eyelid lift can draw attention to existing brow ptosis (sagging) and vice-versa. We often perform these procedures simultaneously.
