Phoenix Breast Implants

There are hundreds of thousands of breast augmentation procedures performed each year in the United States alone. It is one of the most popular procedures performed. Women opt for breast augmentation for a variety of personal reasons, whether they was to increase their breast size because they feel their own is disproportionately small for their figure, or if their breast volume has decreased after pregnancy, or if there is a significant asymmetry between the breasts. Whatever the reason, Dr. Weinrach has helped many women achieve the breast results they desired through Phoenix Breast Implants.

There are many decisions to consider in a breast augmentation procedure from implant size to implant type, implant placement to incision placement, but the most important decision you will make is the decision of who will be performing the procedure. Finding the right plastic surgeon, one who is certified, qualified, trained and experienced, will not only be beneficial to your safety in the procedure but also to your results and overall experience as well. The first step in your breast implant journey is scheduling a consultation with your plastic surgeon. During this consultation they will ask you about your goals and concerns, examine you and ask about your medical history. If they determine that you are a good candidate for the procedure, then a procedure plan will be made to best meet your needs.

Saline vs Silicone

Saline Breast Implants or Silicone Gel Breast Implants?

This is one of the most common questions Dr. Weinrach is asked by women who are interested in a breast augmentation, breast lift also known as mastopexy, or a combination of both. The answer is that one is not “better” than the other; there are advantages and disadvantages to both. It is not really completely possible to determine which is the absolute best choice for a particular patient without a physical exam to determine breast tissue quality; however, in a nutshell, it comes down to this:

The advantage of Silicone Gel breast implants is that they feel more like a natural breast. However, they are much more expensive than saline breast implants. Adjustments to size cannot be made during surgery. In the past, longer incisions were needed for silicone gel breast implants because they are already filled before placement. This is no longer the case; with the use of a Keller funnel, much shorter incisions can now be used. Most implants can be placed through an incision the same size as used for a saline implant.

Saline breast implants are less expensive than silicone gel breast implants. Also, adjustments to the size of the implant can be made during surgery and even after surgery in some cases. Saline breast implants tend to not feel quite as natural as silicone gel implants. However, in a patient with plenty of good quality breast tissue to begin with to cover the implant, a quite natural result can be achieved. On the contrary, if a saline implant is placed in a breast with very little breast tissue and thin, poorly elastic skin, a much less natural breast will likely result. So, a good preoperative physical exam to determine tissue quality is critical. This is best accomplished by a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

There are numerous factors that go into the determination of breast implant choice, not only saline vs. silicone gel, but size and shape as well. Of course there are other decisions to be made such as incision location and location of the implant (above or below the muscle). Scottsdale and Phoenix area plastic surgeon Jonathan C Weinrach MD FACS is a board certified plastic surgeon, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery as well as the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Keller Funnel

In the past, one of the disadvantages of a silicone gel breast implant was the need to make a longer incision to place it compared with a saline implant. This is because a gel implant is placed completely filled, as opposed to a saline implant which is placed empty, and then filled after placement. By using a Keller Funnel, most silicone gel implants can be placed through an incision that is the same length as the one used for a saline implant. Because the implant never touches the skin when the Keller Funnel is used, there is also less chance of bacterial contamination of the implant, which likely equals a reduced chance of breast implant infection. Although the cause of capsular contracture is not known, a widely accepted theory is bacteria; the use of a Keller funnel may greatly lower the possibility of a capsular contracture as well.

Phoenix Breast Implants Versus Arizona Breast Implants

Arizona Breast Implants is a search term that gets approximately zero searches per day on each of the major search engines. Today, a message came in from someone who hoped to be able to help this Phoenix Plastic Surgery site rank better for the search term Arizona Breast Implants. They proposed a very suspicious method of doing this that included a network of thousands of websites and a private linking scheme using paid one way links. Those are techniques which the search engines frown upon and for which penalties can be imposed. Google’s Webmaster Guidelines specifically state that it is a violation of their Quality guidelines which include this sentence … “Don’t participate in link schemes designed to increase your site’s ranking or PageRank.” and go further to say:

Examples of link schemes can include:

  • Links intended to manipulate PageRank
  • Links to web spammers or bad neighborhoods on the web
  • Excessive reciprocal links or excessive link exchanging (“Link to me and I’ll link to you.”)
  • Buying or selling links that pass PageRank

It appears that the company site has no Google PR and zero links showing in Google’s index.

That company proposed to get the site well ranked for Arizona Breast Implants and indicated that the site was on page 4 of Google for that search term.

There really are not a lot of searches for that term so it is probably more useful to concentrate more on the search term Phoenix Breast Implants which gets about 30 searches a day and Breast Implants which gets about 1400 searches a day.

Arizona Breast Implants and Scottsdale Breast Implants both get approximately zero searches per day so they really don’t help people searching for a plastic surgeon to find the site.
