Botox® is a popular, well-known, and safe treatment that is designed to improve wrinkles and fine lines on the face in a manner that is non-invasive with no downtime.
Botox® works by preventing contraction of muscles in the face that cause wrinkling. After injection, these wrinkles disappear within days. This treatment smooths the skin and tends to slow down the formation of more fine lines in the future.
Dr. Weinrach personally administers all Botox® injections in his office. Most Botox® injection sessions take less than 20 minutes, and patients are immediately able resume your day. Activity is kept light for 24 hours.
Patients typically start to see the results of Botox® treatments within three days after treatment, sometimes sooner. The end results are usually present for up to six months. Patients love to come back to Dr. Weinrach’s office not only due to his professionalism and kind disposition, but also find his gentle injection technique and extensive understanding of facial anatomy to be impressive and second to none.
Jeuveau is the newest neuromodulator available and works in a similar fashion to Botox® by blocking contractions in the muscles to prevent the creation of additional lines and wrinkles on the face. While Jeuveau (and Botox®) do not permanently remove existing wrinkles, they do make them less noticeable and are much more effective than over-the-counter creams and wrinkle serums.
As with Botox® injections, Dr. Weinrach personally administers Jeuveau to patients to provide the highest levels of safety and effectiveness. He is happy to explain some of the subtle differences between Botox® and Jeuveau and answer all questions.
Xeomin® is rapidly gaining popularity in the cosmetic world as an alternative to Botox®. The biggest difference between Xeomin® and the other neuromodulators is that Xeomin® has undergone a purification process to remove “accessory proteins”. For this reason, the human body may be less likely to become resistant to Xeomin®.
Dr. Weinrach often recommends Xeomin® to patients who may feel that the effects of Botox® are not lasting as long as with past treatments. Xeomin® is excellent as first time treatment as well.
Dr. Weinrach has been practicing for over 16 years and has given countless treatments of neuromodulators to patients, with very high rates of satisfaction.
Dermal fillers are a common non-invasive treatment method used to correct wrinkles and add volume to the face. They are much more effective than older collagen fillers and the results of a dermal filler injection such as Restylane® or Juvéderm® can be seen immediately. Both fillers are comprised of hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occurring substance that is found in human skin.
As hyaluronic acid filler components are natural and lack animal proteins, the possibility of an allergic reaction to these fillers is almost nonexistent. Dermal fillers are effective at giving additional volume to the face, filling out creases and folds, and can be used augment the lips to present a younger-looking and aesthetically pleasing face.
Bellafill® is a more permanent filler that is FDA approved to treat smile lines and may last up to 5 years. Bellafill® is also used to improve acne scars. Bellafill® not only gives immediate correction but stimulates the production of your own natural collagen which is responsible for its long lasting result. Injections of dermal fillers at the office of Dr. Weinrach usually can be completed in under 30 minutes. Common side effects can include some temporary bruising and swelling, but the injection process leads to very little to no downtime.
Normal daily activities can be resumed immediately after treatment. In general, hyaluronic acid fillers remain effective for a few months to one year. Juvéderm® Voluma can last up to two years. Bellafill® can last up to 5 years.
