Scottsdale Breast Augmentation
Scottsdale breast augmentation, sometimes referred to as breast enhancement, is a surgical procedure designed to increase breast size. This enhancement can restore balanced proportions and help individuals achieve a shapely hourglass figure.
Many individuals in Scottsdale seek breast augmentation as a means to enhance their natural beauty and boost their confidence. Scottsdale breast augmentation can help achieve a more balanced and proportionate figure.
In addition to larger, fuller breasts, breast implants can improve symmetry and enhance cleavage. This procedure may be suitable for those who have always had smaller breasts or experienced changes in breast size due to weight fluctuations or the effects of motherhood.

Who Can Benefit from Breast Enhancement?
Scottsdale breast augmentation may be a suitable option for individuals who perceive their breast size as disproportionate to their overall physique.
Many candidates find that Scottsdale breast augmentation offers them the opportunity to achieve their desired body image confidently.
Women often opt for breast implants to restore lost volume due to factors such as pregnancy and breastfeeding, weight loss, or the natural aging process.
Additionally, breast implants can effectively address asymmetry when there is a significant difference in breast size. Breast augmentation is recognized as the most commonly performed cosmetic surgery in the United States, catering to women of various age groups who maintain good health.
Furthermore, breast augmentation can be combined with a breast lift procedure to address sagging skin and rejuvenate breast firmness.
Scottsdale breast augmentation is particularly popular among women looking to restore their pre-pregnancy shape and fullness.

About Breast Enhancement Surgery
Breast Augmentation is a very common procedure; there were 306,196 done in 2024.1
The popularity of Scottsdale breast augmentation continues to rise, reflecting the increasing number of satisfied patients each year.
During breast augmentation surgery, an incision is strategically made beneath each breast, located in the natural crease where the breast meets the chest, a region known as the inframammary fold.
Understanding the procedure is essential for anyone considering Scottsdale breast augmentation.
Among the various incision options available, Dr. Weinrach favors this approach due to its proven advantages in terms of patient safety and long-term aesthetic outcomes.
Following the incision, a pocket for the implant is meticulously created. The placement of this pocket can be performed either submuscularly, located beneath the chest muscle, or subfascially or subglandularly, situated above it.
This decision is influenced by individual anatomical characteristics, including tissue thickness and quality, along with the patient’s personal preferences.
Dr. Weinrach then carefully places the implant into the designated pocket and sutures the incision closed.
For silicone gel implants, Dr. Weinrach utilizes the Keller Funnel®, a specialized medical instrument that ensures the implant remains sterile by preventing any contact with the skin, while also facilitating a smaller incision size.
The breast implant surgery is conducted at the Scottsdale McCormick Ranch Surgicenter, a fully accredited, state-of-the-art facility. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, which is overseen by a board-certified anesthesiologist, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient safety throughout the surgery.
Patients frequently express satisfaction with their Scottsdale breast augmentation results, praising their natural appearance.

Which Type of Breast Implant is Right for You?
Deciding on the right implant for your Scottsdale breast augmentation is a key aspect of the consultation process.
Silicone gel and saline implants feature a flexible silicone outer shell. The interior of silicone implants is filled with a viscous gel, whereas saline implants are filled with a sterile saltwater solution. Many patients favor silicone gel implants due to their consistency, which closely mimics natural breast tissue. However, there are circumstances where saline implants may be the more suitable choice.
SILICONE IMPLANTS
Silicone gel implants are an excellent option for patients seeking a natural feel in their breast augmentation.
These implants are available in a diverse range of profiles and shapes, along with various gel fillers.
The modern silicone gel-filled implants, often referred to as “gummy bear implants,” contain a significantly thicker and more cohesive form of silicone gel compared to earlier generations of breast implants.
Dr. Weinrach only uses smooth round implants or Motiva implants with Silksurface® nanotexturing. Implants with standard textured shells are not recommended due to adverse events.
Shaped or teardrop implants are not recommended as they have standard textured shells. For those desiring a teardrop appearance, a round implant with a softer gel or the Motiva Ergonomix can achieve this aesthetic.
During your consultation, Dr. Weinrach will conduct a comprehensive examination to identify the most suitable implant type for your unique anatomy.
Our office also offers a wide selection of implant sizes and profiles for you to explore and try on, ensuring that you can make an informed decision.
It’s important to consider how your chosen implant will complement your overall goals for Scottsdale breast augmentation
SALINE-FILLED BREAST IMPLANTS
Saline breast implants do not provide the same natural feel as silicone gel implants.
However, for patients with sufficient quality breast tissue to adequately cover the implant, saline implants can achieve a satisfactory aesthetic result.
Additionally, saline implants are significantly more cost-effective than their silicone gel counterparts.
Understanding the differences between saline and silicone options is crucial for your Scottsdale breast augmentation journey.

Who Makes a Good Candidate for Breast Augmentation?
Evaluating your candidacy for Scottsdale breast augmentation starts with a clear understanding of your health and goals.
If you desire fuller or more youthful-looking breasts and are in good overall health, you may be an appropriate candidate for breast augmentation, provided you are at least 18 years of age.
Ideal candidates should not be pregnant or breastfeeding, and must not have any significant health issues.
Additionally, it is important that candidates possess realistic expectations regarding potential outcomes, and that their motivation to undergo the procedure stems from personal desire rather than external pressures.
For women who have recently completed breastfeeding, it is advisable to wait at least three months after the cessation of milk production before proceeding with breast augmentation.
Furthermore, patients aged 45 to 54 are recommended to undergo a mammogram within one year prior to any breast surgery.
Realistic expectations can help ensure a positive experience after your Scottsdale breast augmentation.

Scottsdale Breast Augmentation Rapid Recovery
Many patients appreciate the support they receive during their Scottsdale breast augmentation recovery process.
To minimize downtime following breast augmentation surgery, Dr. Weinrach implements the Rapid Recovery technique, often referred to as the 24-hour recovery and fast track approach.
Utilizing the Rapid Recovery technique can significantly enhance your Scottsdale breast augmentation experience.
This innovative method reduces or eliminates the need for narcotic pain medications, which can cause nausea.
Instead, it emphasizes the use of anti-inflammatory medications to alleviate discomfort, coupled with postoperative exercises aimed at keeping the chest muscles flexible and promoting early mobility.
Additionally, anesthetics that are known to induce nausea are minimized or avoided whenever possible.
These carefully considered strategies are designed to help you return to your normal activities as swiftly as possible after surgery, with many patients reporting feeling well enough to enjoy dinner out the very evening following the procedure.
Patients often remark on the effectiveness of the Rapid Recovery approach following their Scottsdale breast augmentation.
Activity after surgery
During the initial three weeks following your procedure, we recommend engaging in light activities.
Returning to normal activities post-Scottsdale breast augmentation can be swift and smooth with proper care.
Thereafter, you can gradually increase your level of activity over the next three weeks.
It is not uncommon for your breasts to appear larger than anticipated initially due to postoperative swelling; however, please be assured that this swelling will diminish over time.
While breast implants typically require some time to fully settle, you may resume normal activities relatively quickly.
It is important to note that complete healing occurs over a span of several weeks to months.
Dr. Weinrach will provide you with comprehensive aftercare instructions to ensure a smooth and successful recovery.
The visual transformation from Scottsdale breast augmentation can be quite striking during the healing process.

breast augmentation faqs
Understanding Scottsdale breast augmentation frequently involves addressing common patient concerns and FAQs.
Breast Augmentation with Silicone Gel Implants: $10,700
Breast Augmentation with Saline Implants: $9,600
*Above prices include facility, anesthesia, implants, and surgeon fees. These are average costs, and may be different depending on the complexity of the case. Silicone gel implant price is with Mentor MemoryGel or Allergan Natrelle INSPIRA Responsive implants. Breast augmentation using implants such as Motiva, MemoryGel Xtra, Allergan Natrelle INSPIRA SoftTouch, or Cohesive implants cost extra. A consultation is needed in order to more accurately determine cost.
The Responsive implant is filled with a less cohesive (slightly softer) gel then the SoftTouch; the Responsive tends to give a more sloped upper pole of the breast. The SoftTouch is a bit more cohesive (firmer), and gives a fuller upper pole. The Allergan Natrelle Cohesive implant is the most cohesive (firmest), and gives the most upper pole fullness.
Very light activity such as walking is recommended for the first week after breast augmentation. Aerobic activity can gradually be increased after the first week. A treadmill may be used if walking is slow. No lifting of weights or resistance type of exercise involving the arms or chest is recommended until three weeks after surgery. After three weeks light resistance types of exercise can be started; no heavy weights or resistance types of exercises until six weeks after surgery.
A breast implant comes in many different profiles. The profile is related to the volume of the implant and its width, or base diameter. For example, a 350cc breast implant may have a diameter of 12.5cm (moderate plus profile), 11.7cm (high profile), or 10.1cm (ultra high profile). For any given volume, a higher profile means a narrower diameter and more projection. One profile is not necessarily “better” than another, it just depends on each woman’s individual anatomy.
Silicone Gel Filled Breast Implants are the most natural feeling breast implants available. If the implant is appropriately sized for the patient’s anatomy, in a patient with normal tissue, a saline or silicone gel implant will look about the same. The new Ideal Implant, which a saline filled implant with internal silicone shells, feels almost like a silicone gel filled implant.
Fat transfer works for small increases in breast volume or for correcting irregularities in breast contour. The problem with attempting large increases in breast volume with fat transfer is survival of the fat grafts which can be unpredictable. Areas of fat that do not survive can become firm as well. This is an area of current research. The most consistent and reliable method of breast augmentation is still by placement of a breast implant.
As cup size is not a standardized measurement between bra makers, it is not possible to guarantee a particular cup size after surgery. You can shop and be measured for bras at five different stores and be told you are five different cup sizes. What is important is how your breasts appear, not what the cup size stamped on the label is.
It is very rare to have permanent loss of nipple sensation after a breast augmentation. There may be temporary sensory changes to the nipple ranging from hypersensitivity (nipples that are more sensitive than usual), to decreases in nipple sensation. These changes in nipple sensitivity are due to stretching of the sensory nerves from the implant as well as swelling from surgery. These sensory changes almost always resolve with time.
No drains are used after breast augmentation.
Sutures are absorbable – no sutures need to be removed after breast augmentation.
On average, breast enhancement surgery takes approximately one hour.
This depends on the type of work you do. Very light activity is recommended for the week after breast augmentation, with no heavy lifting for six weeks. People with sedentary, low activity types of work can be back to work very soon after surgery, even the next day in some cases. The great majority of women are back to work with days to one week after surgery.
When properly placed by an experienced surgeon, breast implants do not interfere with the ability to breastfeed, assuming that a woman would have been able to breastfeed prior to surgery.4
Safety and effectiveness has not been established in patients with an existing autoimmune disease or a weakened immune system.
Yes, it is possible for a breast implant to rupture. This is an unusual occurrence. This is obvious when a saline breast implant ruptures as the saline is absorbed by the body and there is a noticeable difference the volume of the breast. A silicone gel breast implant rupture may not be obviously noticeable; for this reason it is recommended to have an ultrasound or MRI at 5-6 years after your initial implant surgery and then every 2-3 years if you have no symptoms. If you have symptoms at any time or uncertain ultrasound results for breast implant rupture, an MRI is recommended.
Yes. It is still recommended to have mammograms after breast implants are placed.
You will not hurt anything by moving after breast augmentation surgery; in fact moving is recommended – arm exercises are helpful to prevent spasm and discomfort after surgery; Dr. Weinrach will teach you these exercises before surgery.
Yes, it is very important to wear a bra after breast augmentation. Breast implants add weight to the breasts, and support is needed to help keep the breast implants in good position. Not wearing a bra after surgery can cause breast implants to stretch out the skin and get lower with time.
Yes, breast augmentation is performed under general anesthesia.
Yes, because the surgery is performed under general anesthesia, it is recommended to have a responsible adult stay with you for at least 24 hours after surgery.
Possibly but not certainly. There is no evidence or recommendation that a breast implant has to be replaced after a certain amount of time. If the size and shape of the breast remain acceptable and there is no sign of implant rupture, than it is not mandatory to replace the implants.
We offer Motiva Round and Ergonomix, Allergan Natrelle INSPIRA Responsive, SoftTouch, and Cohesive, MENTOR MemoryGel, MemoryGel Xtra, MemoryGel BOOST and MENTOR Saline. Dr. Weinrach uses only smooth shell implants; he does not use textured breast implants. The implants are all available in different profiles and volumes.
While there are countless types of insurance plans, to the best of our knowledge the great majority if not all of them will not cover the costs of breast augmentation surgery. We are not a contracted provider of any private health insurance plan; we are not able to send insurance companies any requests for coverage or letters of medical necessity in order to obtain insurance authorization.
After breast augmentation, Dr. Weinrach places a water-proof dressing over the incision. You may shower 24 hours after surgery, when the affects of anesthesia have worn off.
This depends on the size and type of breast implant being placed. Most silicone gel implants and all saline implants can be placed through an incision of 3.5cm, which is about 1 and 1/3 inches. Larger implants may require slightly longer incisions.
The ideal location for a breast augmentation is in the inframammary crease, which is the area were the lower part of the breast meets the chest skin. Placing the incision at the areola, in the armpit, or belly button has the disadvantage of being in areas with more bacteria. Incisions in these areas probably increase the risk of developing a capsular contracture, which is a firm scar than can develop around a breast implant known to be associated with bacteria. Incisions in the armpit can also be visible with swimwear. The inframammary crease incision is well hidden by swimwear and its location, and is the best location for a breast augmentation incision.
